God

God

God is a metaphor for that which transcends all levels of intellectual thought’.

When the Russian astronauts first ventured into space they travelled 220 miles from the earth’s surface.  No sooner had they returned to earth the first question that was put forth to them was: ‘Did you get to see God?’  Many years later this same question was asked to an American astronaut who in turn quipped:  ‘I would have met him if I had taken-off my spacesuit!’

All through the ages mankind has endeavoured to seek God with their natural mind, which has only landed them in a flurry of speculation.  God is not a visible object who can be searched out by scientific experimentation or any voyage of exploration nor is He a hermit who lives in a hideout.  God is a Spirit and therefore can only be seen with our spiritual eyes.
