A Parent’s Spiritual Authority
Understand
that if you are a mother or father, God gives you spiritual authority to pray
over your children to bind and loose things in their lives. In the same way that you can legally make
decisions for them regarding earthly matters, you also have heavenly authority
to make decisions for them with regards to spiritual issues. Claim this authority right now by covering
your children with strong prophetic prayer every day.
And
remember, if you choose not to take spiritual authority over your children, the
world will happily assume your responsibilities. Pray over your children frequently and
especially at night at bedtime. Let them
in on the process by explaining to them about how God gives parents the
responsibility to protect their children and that Christian parents do this protecting
by means of prayer in the name of Jesus.
Lay
your hands on them while you pray, show them how precious they are to you and
to God and you will quickly see how the Holy Spirit will began to work mightily
in your children’s lives.
